I love reading in English but I've some difficulties to resell my English books on the usual websites (i.e. PriceMinister, Amazon...)...

So I was thinking it could be helpful to open this subject for people who have got some English books in their bookcases.

The idea is very simple: you use this place to note the books you want to swap & the person who is interested send you a private message. When the swap is concluded, you cross the title out.

Do you think it could be useful?

I have Pride and Pejudice, by Jane Austen, to swap if anyone is interested.
Sadly, it's an "abrieged" version. Not too abrieged though, they just modernized a few spellings and crossed out a few sentences. You won't be missing any of the story or the style.
I've gotten another edition of it, so now I can give this one away ;)

I read a lot in english, but I'm not sure I have many books I want to part with.
I'll check when I get back at my parents' house.
I might have a whole box of kid's books (like, 8 year old) to give away...

I was just thinking about Georgia Nicholson. I read the books in French and always wanted to compare with the original. I'll try to give you a list of the english books I can swap tomorrow in the afternoon, Touloulou.

I have a few english books I'd like to swap... with either french or other english books really, I'm not fussy, I'll have to make a list though and anyone can tell me if they are interested :D
Oh, the only thing is I'd prefer to swap them in person in Paris because it's easier for me and less expensive. This is mostly fantasy and bit-lit

      I have:
      - Soulless (volume 1), by Gail Carriger
      - Shades of Grey (volume 1), by Jasper Fforde
      - Chalice, by Robin McKinley
      - The sirens of Titan, by Kurt Vonnegut
      - Blackout (v1) by Connie willis
      - All Clear (v2 following and ending Blackout), by Connie Willis
      - Frostbitten (woman of the other world 10), by Kelley Armstrong
      - Walking the Witch (woman of the other world 11), by Kelley Armstrong
      - Black Magic Sanction (Rachel morgan 8), by Kim Harrison
      - Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand (Kitty Norville 5), by Carrie Vaughn
      - Kitty Raises Hell (Kitty Norville 6), by Carrie Vaughn
      - Kitty's house of Horrors (Kitty Norville 7), by Carrie Vaughn
      - Bone Crossed (Mercy Thompson 4) by Patricia Briggs
      - Silver Bourne (Mercy Thompson 5) by Patricia Briggs

I have other things but not with me right now so I'll update this list later :)
Those are all good books, it's just that I don't have the space to keep on collecting stuff :pleur:
