The agenda then, as now, focused on key areas, marriages, prositution, birth control, sex. Drawing on concepts from religion and evolutionary theory, feminists attempted to construct a new morality. Sex education was seen as essential, as too was marital reform, but other areas of discussion such as free love and wether or not women experience sexual pleasure remained highly controversial.
