Only one for the moment The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge. It's simple but really nice to a first book in English. I will read Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory ... soon (I hope !)

That's mainly because I've read only two books in English that it's easy for me to remember them ^^
The first book I've read in Ensligh is, naturally, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (during my first year of english in the university) and the second is less well-known : it's Moons of Mirrodin, by Will McDermott, a book published by Wizards of the Coast and which is linked to the cards game, Magic the Gathering...

I'm surprised you didn't read much English books ! Didn't you have to read some books for your english class when you were in college ?

I've never had to read english books because of the school, but that's quite normal, should I say, the student's level is so low ^^

Even last year, in second year of history, most of the students weren't able to speak English at all !! That's a pity, because I love this language, and I've always been a litterar, and not a scientist...
But I make the choice, when I have this possibility, to watch movies in English, and more rarely to read in English :)

Ha! So you're studying History! I misunderstood you saying you read Harry Potter in your first year of English, assuming you were taking an English cursus :-)

I think I've read like 18 books in english. The Harry Potter saga and the Twilight one, A lesson before dying by Ernest G. Gaines (it was for my senior year of high school, but a great book nonetheless), Handle with care by Jodi Picoult, Percy Jackson and the last Olympian (couldn't wait for the french translation :D) and the Gallagher girls saga by Ally Carter. I've also read The importance of being Earnest by Oscar Wilde...
I have currently 3 english books waiting for me so I'm not done reading in english and I find it much more enjoyable to be able to read the original version of a book rather than its translation...

I should have been more precise, the fact is that I've not finished the first year of English cursus, for several reasons, and because I've found this quite boring (to easy and not interesting, obviously) I've decide to make another choice, not by security, this time, but by passion, and I started my History studies.

Now, I'm going to begin the third year, and I really love what I do, even if I don't read english books any more. But I'll do it again, I promise, my english level need to be improved ^^

I think I read less than 10 books in English because before last year I was in the South of France. Now I'm in Paris and there is the English Bookshop :) :) :)
