I can tell you it's less expensive on bookdepository website. For example, I bought a book 11€ in W.h Smith, and it costs 6€ on the website :goutte:
    I was a little bit revolted ...

I agree, Bookdepository is a good website. I bought books just once but I bought Fragile Things of Neil Gaiman at the price of 8 €,60 and it was not a "format poche", but I haven't read it yet ^^

And for the first english year at my (future) college, I saw that we have to read The hount of The baskerville by Conan Doyle and that's cool 'cause I read it in french and I have still my book ^^.
So, I have to accelerate my reading english speed.

    Errr...
There is Book Off, they mostly sell secondhand French books, but they either sell English ones. But it's a small section.
    Otherwise, I don't know but I'd like to ^^

    You have :
Shakespeare and Company (the lovely one :pink:) : 37 Rue Bûcherie 75005 Paris
    and W.h Smith : 248 Rue Rivoli 75001 Paris

I hope you'll find what you want ^^

I go to W.H.Smith. I went one time in Shakespeare and Company but I was following a friend of mine so I didn't remember where it was... thank you for the address :)

Do you know any secondhand English bookshops in Paris? Or are they usually only new books?

You can find some at the Gibert Jeune (or is it Gibert Joseph? I can't tell the difference!) specialised in foreign books (it's in the street at the right when you're in front of the fountain).
As in all Gibert Joseph, you've got some secondhand books mixed with new books and they're usually as good as new.

I already read three books in English, and I really like !
I read the three firsts books of the Saga Harry Potter by J.K.Rowling !
I thinks it's more interesting to read English books that have an english author ! Personally I improved my english more quickly than in English classe !
I really think it's so funny I want to read all my books in English !! My friends say i'm crazy, but I don't see why ?? :sifflote: (I'm crazy, but not in it side :P)

Edit : I hope there are no faults... tell me if there are ones ! =)

I corrected it for you, but "I think it's more interesting to read English books that have an english author !" I don't understand; are you trying to say you like books written by English authors?

And remember, no space before punctuation in English.

Sure ! It's more efficient because you read the books you want and you like it, whereas in class you study grammar ... Stuffs which are not funny and pleasant.

In my case, the english world or phrases that I learned, it was by listening music, watching movies, tv show in english and read in english, and not in class but the business vocabulary.

By the way, I bought today the first Fablehaven (Brandon Mull) and I think I did a bargain ( about 6/7 €)
