Je suis un peu déçue par cette lecture,car j'attendais beaucoup de ce 1er thriller adulte signée Holly Jackson. Le ton est vraiment YA,trop d'humour qui gâche la tension. J'ai dû attendre 70% du roman pour enfin ressentir du suspense. Malgré tout l'histoire est bien faite - même si j'avais une idée du coupable dès le chapitre 1-. Gros coup de cœur pour le personnage de Billy !

Excellent thriller YA ! L'écriture était passable,mais le côté fort du livre ce sont l'ambiance et les personnages. J'ai trouvé la fin un peu rushé,et certains plot twist évidents mais c'était tellement divertissant et pas prise de tête que je le recommande !

On est sur une nouvelle donc les attentes sont moins grandes et franchement c'était divertissant. Le monde,le le système de magie et la chasse aux artéfacts magiques sont ce que j'ai préféré. Le banter entre les perso étaient hilarant,mais je trouve que Zula manque de profondeur comparé à Neo. La romance est mignonne mais pas transcendante ! Nouvelle très sympa !

Les 140 premières pages étaient parfaites,je me suis même prise un fou rire. Mais ça évolue très mal,ce n'est pas super bien écrit,la protagoniste est insupportable. Il n'y a aucune tension entre les personnages ;la romance est vide. On est sur du YA mais ils sont 26 & 28 ans,y'a du spicy tellement cringe et mal écrit que j'ai failli mourir de honte.

Une lecture qui va me manquer à tout jamais ! La prose d'Ann Liang est toujours aussi magnifique,avec des retranscriptions de sentiments qui chamboulent. J'ai tout adoré,les sujets traités/les messages/les personnages/la romance (même si pas du tout prédominante). Un livre qui m'a fait pleurer de joie,de tristesse et qui a fait un bien énorme à mon cœur !
