I'm still in for 2024 of course ! :D
And here's my (very quick) wrap up for 2023 :
(Thank you for recalculating the points, i must have not paid attention !)
- Vox by Christina Dalcher
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
I think i could sum up that book in that quote, in my opinion, because that's what spoke to me the most.
This book, while it's still classified as dystopian, isn't too far off from the reality, or what could happen in reality if we let it and i like seeing it as a warning.
However, i didn't really enjoy a lot of the characters, found the protagonist pretty annoying and whiny (although in those conditions i probably would be too i guess.), i also wish we could have been more in depth about what they were thinking, especially on the side of the oppressors.
- Rainbow place, vol 1 by Jay Northcote
Absolutely loved it !
Broke my heart a couple of times, i felt so sad for Jason and what he had to go through, and mad for Seb that had to fight against the bigots as well.
It was overall super charming, cute, heartwarming and supportive, and the smut was really well done as well !
Two books only so my total for 2023 is 29,5 points !
