Even as he said this, Robin was aware of armed men wearing the Sheriff's livery who were closing in round the tree, and of the Bishop of Peterborough with his followers riding through the forest towards where he vas. "A trap!" thought Robin, and in moment he had dropped out of the tree and was running his hardest down the hill while Worman shouted: "After him, men! It is Robin Hood! This time he cannot espace!"
