    Another question linked to the first one : is it easy for you to find an important variety of English books? I answered it because for me I think it's really difficult : only few shops and librairies have English books and when they do, the choice is very limited! Where do you buy them? If some people live in the same region than me, what are your good adresses?
    I hope I'm not "hors sujet" (don't know how to say it in English, sorry!).

    Well , for me i think i've read less than 10 books in my entire life . It's only these last two years than i started to reed in english and i really liked it ! I started with children's books as " Mathilda" ( i'd rather prefer roald dahl novels in english ).

    But now, i read also novels as" 1984" or " Grisham novels . Nevertheless , " classic" litterature as Jane Austen is still too hard for me ( i've tried " Sense and sensibility) but i hope to read it one day !

    I've found a bookshop in Paris where there are plenty of foreign books. I'll return to Paris in october to see a concert and I think I'll go buy some books (much actually)

    I don't know if this sentence is good, don't hesitate to correct if necessary

    Here's a good reason for reading in English, especially for people who delight in Fantasy. Most volumes from great sagas are divided into smaller volumes when translated in French. I want to make two points here: first, this shows disrespect regarding the original work (but sometimes suits the author, and that is my second point), second, this results in costing more money to the reader. There are only 6 volumes in Robin Hobb's two trilogy The Fareseeer trilogy and the Tawny man trilogy. The French assassin royal consists in 13 books. When you buy the book in French you pay twice the price you would have paid had you read it in English.

    By the way I buy my books on the Internet, and usually check priceminister.com for the lowest price. Never buy English books in France. The price is scandalous!

    You're right Lise. They make pay for the book and the transport what returns at the same price than a book whiwh hab been translated in french while on internet, an english book cost the same price as in USA or UK, much cheaper (10 euros approximately or even less)
