Must there be a Superman?
Truth, Justice, and the American Way. Words that ring empty on the ears of the hero they once inspired. Distraught over the destruction of New Krypton, Superman continues his journey on foot across the roads of America, searching for the deeper meaning behind his iconic credo.
While continuing to help out the average American, Superman inevitably realizes that not every issue can easily be defined as inherently right or wrong.
Determining which side of the fray he's on has never been his battle…until now. Filled with newly gained perspective, Superman questions his mission on Earth. Wouldn't it be easier to help people anonymously, without the burden of being a national symbol as well? For answers, the Man of Tomorrow turns to the advice of some who know him best—Batman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman.
