Synopsis
Deja and Josiah are seasonal best friends.
Every autumn, all through high school, they've worked together at the best pumpkin patch in the whole wide world (not many people know that the best pumpkin patch in the whole wide world is in Omaha, Nebraska, but it definitely is). They say goodbye every Halloween, and they're reunited every September 1.
But this Halloween is different - Josiah and Deja are finally seniors, and this is their last season at the pumpkin patch. Their last shift together. Their last goodbye.
Josiah's ready to spend the whole night feeling melancholy about it. Deja isn't ready to let him. She's got a plan: What if instead of moping they went out with a bang? They could see all the sights! Taste all the snacks! And Josiah could finally talk to that cute girl he's been mooning over for three years . . .

Ma 1ere lecture en VO et c'est un joli petit roman graphique tout doux. Les personnages sont attachants même si l'histoire est un peu prévisible. Ça reste une belle lecture ambiance Halloween et automnale.
Un cosy bookfriend comme le disent les anglo-saxons, sauf qu'il s'agit d'un roman graphique tout doux, à savourer en automne. J'ai adoré déambuler dans ce pumpkin patch et dévorer des spécialités culinaires en compagnie de Josiah et Deja. Idéal dans le cadre de mon Pumpkin Autumn Challenge !
J'ai tout aimé dans ce petit roman graphique ! Une véritable plongée dans un Pumpkin patch où j'ai adoré vadrouiller avec Josie et et Deja.
On y trouve beaucoup de diversités, handicap, couleur de peau, relation amoureuse, morphologie.... et les personnages sont tellement attachants et drôles !!
Le ton des échanges, les dessins et leurs couleurs, donnent vraiment un côté dynamique et immersif !
Au-delà du fait que c'est une histoire simple et adorable, que je prendrai grand plaisir à relire en fin d'année, j'ai un coup de cœur pour la représentation des personnages - pour la diversité de morphologie et de couleur de peau. Bref, encore un joli moment de passer avec un livre de Rainbow Rowell !
Un petit récit tout mignon et sympathique. J’ai particulièrement aimé les dessins. Après vu l’engouement à sa sortie je l’attendais à plus ! C’était assez prévisible et oubliable. Mais j’ai passé un bon moment tout de même !
