Brishen Khaskem, prince of the Kai, has lived content as the nonessential spare heir to a throne secured many times over. A trade and political alliance between the human kingdom of Gaur and the Kai kingdom of Bast-Haradis requires that he marry a Gauri woman to seal the treaty. Always a dutiful son, Brishen agrees to the marriage and discovers his bride is as ugly as he expected and more beautiful than he could have imagined.

On me l'avait promis, je l'ai eu : un romantasy efficace comme on les aime, des personnages adorables, une intrigue qui se construit et qui sent bon le second tome mais celui-ci se concentre sur nos deux personnages principaux et l'évolution de leur relation. Aussi bon et addictif que je l'espérais !
Ce livre ne sera jamais traduit, car il est autoédité et méconnu! Mais je l'ai ADORÉ! J'ai juste hâte de découvrir les autres tomes avec l'épilogue qui donne froid dans le dos! On suit Ildiko ( humaine ) et Brishen ( Kai, créature de la nuit ) qui, lentement, évolue dans leur mariage. J'ai trouvé ça mignon et fluide! Bref c'était parfait!
