In coming to Schaffer University and agreeing to play hockey for his uncle, Dante Hidalgo knew that he was a dead man in every waking sense.
In an attempt to stave off the trauma wrought upon him by the brother who, too, wants him dead, Dante has resorted to any means necessary, including vices intrinsic to his self-destruction. Knowing he will be dead by the time he is out of his uncle’s immediate care, Dante sees no point in continuing to uphold a life that he has deemed holds little—if any—value.

But Dante’s one-sided agreement to see through a self-righteous suicide is flipped on its head when Robyn Zaragoza arrives on his front doorstep in the wake of Xavier’s signature trait of violence. Least to say, now having the woman who once called Xavier her best friend among his team's roster is enough to earn his well-deserved suspicion. Of course, neither party likes the other, but this inherent distrust does not change the matter of Xavier Alonso and how he should pay for the crimes he so callously has committed.

Because even if Robyn and Dante can’t seem to agree on much, they will eventually put their differences aside, sometimes knowing the only way to get justice is to see the man who robbed you of it six feet under.
